Life in the UK Test Results: How do I find out if I've passed or failed?

How to check your Life in the UK Test results

Once you've taken the Life in the UK Test, you'll receive an email letting you know whether you've passed or failed. You can also check your result by logging into your unique booking account.

In most cases, your result is available immediately after taking the test, or at the very latest within 24 hours.

If you haven't received your confirmation email straight away, don't panic. It's worth logging into your booking account to check your result, as many candidates find their result is available there before the confirmation email arrives.

What happens if I fail?

If you don't pass the Life in the UK Test, your confirmation email will tell you your overall percentage score. To pass the test, you need to score at least 75% (18 out of 24 questions correct).

Unlike in the past, candidates are no longer given a breakdown showing which chapters of the official handbook their incorrect answers came from. This means you won't know exactly which topics you need to revise before booking another test.

If you do need to retake the test, it's usually best to review the official handbook thoroughly, rather than concentrating on just one or two topics.
