Will there be changes to the Life in the UK test with the election of the new Labour government?

Updated: Mar 3

The new Labour government has not announced any changes to the Life in the UK test – or that they are planning to introduce a new edition of the official handbook on which the test is based, as you may know that book is, Life in the United Kingdom; a Guide for New Residents (3rd edition).

And so, as the same edition of the book is still the basis of the test there will not be any questions on the new Labour government, because there is nothing about the new government in the book!

But of course, you will still need to know certain essential facts about government and about how parliament works – for example, the titles of the most important ministers and the title of the leader, the two chambers of parliament and the differences between them, and much more - all of which I explain clearly on the course.
