Life in the UK test - taking the correct ID to the test centre

Updated: Dec 14, 2022

On the Government website there is a list of acceptable ID you can use to book the Life in the UK test; the website also tells you that when you go to take the test, you must bring the same ID that you used to book. On my course I always emphasise to students the importance of making sure that they have the correct ID to take to the test centre with them, but every couple of months I have a student who takes the wrong ID and is not able to take the test - and this also means that they loose their £50. Don’t let that be you! My advice is if you are unsure about whether the ID you are planning to take to the test centre is correct or not, contact the Life in the UK test helpline.
